About this newsletter

Hello.

If you’re reading this, you’re most likely debating whether or not this Substack is worthy of a Subscribe.

I can’t promise you that it is.

I’m not a famous person, nor do I have some kind of book for you to buy.

But here’s what you’ll be signing up for:

I keep a journal.

I scribble in it whenever something in my life is funny/sad/unresolved.

The best scribbles then become pieces.

Sometimes, a piece will be about the mom I saw at the airport who dragged her screaming kid on a leash.

Other times, it’ll be a story about the operational efficiencies of a child-leash production facility in Hangzhou, and why we should all invest to help.

If you like what you read, please leave a comment.

If you don’t like what you read, please leave a longer comment, as the Substack algorithm prioritizes engagement over sentiment.

Good luck out there.

I write stuff that ends up in places like The New York Times, Esquire, and The Guardian, but first it ends up here. It’s non-fiction that reads like fiction.
